Ranthambore
If sheer wilderness is something that you are fond of, Ranthambore National Park and Tiger Reserve is the right place to explore. You get to see some of the most formidable of creatures, such as tiger, leopard and hyena, in their natural habitat. This is the place where you get to witness distinct dimensions of flora and fauna with the 10th century fortress of Ranthambore being food for your curiosity.
Ranthambore is 14 kilometres away from Sawai Modhopur, a city in the district of the same name in Rajasthan. The park is about 155 kilometres from capital Jaipur, which also happens to be the closest place with an airport. Sawai Madhopur Railway Station is the nearest railway station to the park, around 11 kilometres away, thereby, making it accessible to other cities of the country. Buses connect it with other parts of Rajasthan. However, if you are coming from Delhi or other city of the country outside Rajasthan, you will have to switch to other buses or cabs to reach the park from the capital.
