Sikhism’s holiest city Amritsar is in the Majha region of Punjab. It magnetises millions of pilgrims and tourists every year. Indian Railways runs around thirteen trains between Delhi and Amritsar with one of them, bi-weekly Samjhauta Express, to Lahore. Also, buses and cabs are available from Delhi and other parts to reach the holy city. It is about 450 kilometres away from Delhi and can be reached via NH44, NH9, NH54, and NH352.
