Ahmedabad
The city has earned several accolades since it was founded in 1411 AD. The strong growth registered in the city’s textile business got it the name ‘Manchester of India’. Ahmadabad continues to grow in the same spirit and has emerged as a major commercial and financial city in India. In 2010, Forbes declared it as the 3rd fastest growing city in the world. It is Gujarat’s largest metropolis and is said to be the most business-friendly state of the country. The infrastructure built over the years, makes it an apt MICE destination. Most importantly, in July 2017, Ahmedabad became India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City.
