Osaka

The city rose, fell and then rose again to be what it is today. Osaka, which came to be known as the ‘Manchester of the Orient’, is the second largest metropolitan area after Tokyo in Japan. Its food, fun, and nightlife credentials are known the world over, besides its increasingly popular history and culture.
Before or post events, delegates can explore several attractions in Osaka. These include Dotombori, Universal Studios, Osaka Aquarium, Minami, Osaka Castle, Sumiyoshi Taisha, Museum of History, Shitennoji Temple, Abeno Harukas, Minoo Park, National Art Museum, etc.
The spirited city is well-connected with other major cities of Japan and the world by air, rail, and road. There are three airports that serve Osaka. Osaka International Airport is the nearest airport, situated at a distance of about 18 kilometers from the city center. Kobe Airport and Kansai International Airport are 43 and 48 kilometers away from the city center respectively. Local trains and taxis are the other convenient modes of transportation to move in and around the city.
